Transforming a 6-Square-Meter Old Kitchen into a Trendy, High-Tech Culinary Haven!

Small Kitchen, Too Much Stuff: A Common Problem for Most Homes! Today's Case Study: Changzhou Jiulong Warehouse Prosperity Lane.

Background

This renovation is for a family of three: a busy couple and their son, who is in his third year of middle school. With their son at a critical stage in his education, the parents want to provide better nutrition by cooking almost every meal at home. However, their hectic schedules leave little time for organization, resulting in a kitchen that has become increasingly cluttered and chaotic.

Question 1:

Uniform shelf cabinets with no zoning; everything is crammed into the lower sections while the upper shelves remain empty.

Solution 1:

Add a cooking combination drawer under the stove. The original single large space is now divided into two adjustable layers. The dividers can be rearranged to fit soup pots, frying pans, or baking trays. The upper layer is designated for storing dishes and bowls, while the lower layer is for pots and pans, creating a clear and organized system.

Question 2:

The main reason the kitchen looks cluttered is because the condiments are all piled on the countertop.

Solution 2:

Add a Spice MagiDrawer to the narrow cabinet on the left. Organize all the spices by bottle height and store them neatly inside the cabinet. This not only makes the kitchen look tidier but also makes the spices easier to access.

Question 3:

The overhead cabinets are too high to reach easily and are mostly unused.

Solution 3:

Add a EZlift Pull-Down to the overhead cabinets. A gentle pull brings it down, making it easy to access items. The raised guardrail prevents items from falling. With double-layer storage, the overhead cabinet space is perfectly utilized.
